You can find our HKN events and potentially other club or college events posted on our page here. We’ll do our best to keep this page up to date with both events and their information, so make sure to keep an eye on the page for more information as this will be updated regularly.
This calendar will also include IEEE-HKN society wide events for members. If you have been invited to join HKN and are interested in such an event, please let us know so we can make sure to get you a discount!
Deadlines related to initiations will also be posted to this calendar for initiates to reference. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via email at hkn@my.csun.edu or message an officer in Discord and we’d be happy to help.
Most of our events are open to all students who are interested. Some events may have a small fee that will differ between members and non-members. This fee helps us pay for supplies and introduce new workshops.

IEEE and HKN are teaming up to bring you a workshop that will introduce students to the basics of PCB design within Autodesk's Fusion 360 software.
HKN TechX
HKN TechX is IEEE-HKN’s premier technical conference and networking event, focused on emerging technologies and their applications, and inspiring attendees to become the next generation of engineering leaders. Expert leaders in their fields to present thought provoking, engaging and inspiring sessions, conduct meaningful discussions and share insights with the next generation of industry professionals. It is going to be held from April 28-29th.
If you register, you will be able to upload your resume and meet with employers - early registrations get into the official Resume Book. There will also be 2 devoted time blocks (27 April, 1:15-2:50pm ET, and 28 April, 11:15am-12:50pm ET) for the special Recruitment Fair to meet with Industry recruiters or learn about the IEEE Technical Societies.
Register by the early bird deadline (April 20th), it is free for all HKN members. Initiates can register for this event as well. If you are an initiate that is interested in registering for this event, please let me know and I can get you a registration link to get free registration prior to the Early Bird deadline or a discounted $5.00 registration fee thereafter.

Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition
Student volunteers are needed at the upcoming Popsicle Stick Bridge Competition hosted by ASCE LA YMF. The event will take place on Saturday, April 22nd at Cal Poly Pomona. Before the event, participating high school teams will prepare technical reports, display boards, presentations, and of course - build their popsicle stick bridges! They anticipate volunteers to help test the bridges, grade technical papers, and presentation boards, host an impromptu event, give tours, and much more! The first presentation is about Protection Engineering and it will be held on April 7th, 2023 from 1-2 PM. The second presentation is about Vehicle to Grid Discharging and it will be held on April 14th from 2-3 PM. These two events count towards the initiation requirements! Hybrid CECS Town Hall
All CECS students, faculty, and staff are invited to this Town Hall to discuss ways to improve the success and well-being of all students within the college. CSUN TBP x HKN: Intro to Solidworks Workshop
This coming Monday, come learn more about Solidworks and join us in designing your first 3D modeled part! In this workshop, we will be guiding students through a design of your own choosing. This is a great opportunity to get more experience in 3D modeling as well as to get to build something meaningful to you! This workshop will be held in person as well as online. However, people who come in person will be given priority in terms of assistance during the workshop. This event can count towards your event requirements for initiation.
